Inventor's Day

This holiday was introduced in the late 50's of the past century, at the suggestion of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, and was celebrated annually on the last Saturday of June. True official status in the USSR, this holiday was only after two decades — the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on January 24 in 1979, he was assigned as the "All-Union Day of Inventors and Innovators┬╗.

Originally a holiday was a Soviet likeness of the Nobel Prize. on June 25 Academy of Sciences reviewed all innovative proposals put forward over the past year, and selected the best. Distinguished inventors were awarded, were awarded state awards were given titles.

Over time, the holiday has lost its original meaning, becoming a "professional" celebration of inventors and innovators, working for the good of the motherland. Now he continues to report to the country (and still, on the last Saturday of June), but unfortunately not with the same latitude, but sorry ... But on this day, a special committee of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as before, is a list of the most outstanding izobratateley the title of "Distinguished Inventor of the Russian Federation" and "Distinguished Innovator of the Russian Federation┬╗.

Where would the world be without inventions? Can you imagine innovation without ideas? Imagine a life without music, houses, clothes, motors, and even without articulate speech! That was like our world without the inventions that changed the course of history.

At the heart of great achievements is always the best idea, but, first of all, there is someone who is able to give a better interpretation of them and make them accessible and material reality.
