Recently, skaters have found the official holiday : all over the world marks the International Day of skateboarding !
IASC (International Association of Skateboard Companies), which includes all the major companies involved in the skateboard industry, from magazines to brands and distributors worldwide, today announced June 21 Happy skateboarding (Go Skateboarding Day). All over the world this day all skaters take to the streets to celebrate and ride !
The first prototype of today's skateboard appeared in the U.S. in 1958. The board was rectangular in shape and slightly reminiscent of the current model. Then Richard Stevenson came up to the board to attach a "tail" and fold it up. As such, the skateboard survives to this day.
