Easter Monday at the Western Christian

Easter Monday (Easter Monday) is celebrated in memory of the first day after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells the story of that being raised, Christ appeared to two unrecognized saddened by his disciples. He shared with them the way to the village of Emmaus, near Jerusalem, and dinner.

«... took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him. He vanished for them. And they said one to another, Did not burn within us our heart when he talked with us on the road, while he opened to us the scriptures?

And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together and those with them who were saying that the Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. And they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. When they were talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them: Peace be with you».

Important symbol of Easter Monday, as the very symbol of Easter, considered the cross on which Christ accepted death, and resurrection. Also, the symbols of Easter eggs are events, both real and made of different materials, nests, lambs and rabbits or hares.

Eggs and young animals symbolize the birth of a new life, the awakening of nature and the return of her fertility in the spring.
