Police Day in Belarus

The origins of this festival — in 1917, when the office of the commandant of the city of Minsk civil order was issued, according to which the Bolshevik Mikhail Mikhailov was appointed interim police chief of the All-Russian Zemstvo Union for the Protection of the order in the city. In accordance with the order of the city police officials had to issue a Mikhailov available to them under the inventory of weapons.
