Day of Radio and Television of Kyrgyzstan

This professional holiday established by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic № 566 of December 23, 1995.

Decision of the Executive Committee of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic from December 1, 1931 was a Republican Committee on Broadcasting in the Office of Communication of the Republic, and in May 1932 he was transferred to the Central Executive Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Committee organized and coordinated the broadcast throughout the country, controlled by the ideological and political level, the artistic and technical quality of the transmission by the development of material and technical basis, the distribution of radio and training.

The main content of radio programs included daily information on events, lighting, industrial and agricultural production, the stories about the winners of socialist competition and drummer labor. To work at the radio attracted well-known singers, musicians, poets, storytellers and talented representatives of folk art.

Programs conducted in Kyrgyz, Dungan and Russian languages. Their daily volume was more than 9 hours, with more than 5:00 was given to the republican transfers, about 4 hours — for programs broadcast from Moscow All-Union Radio.

In December 1958, was commissioned in Bishkek television studio with a 194-meter tower and attached to it receiving and transmitting antennas. A December 8, 1958, came the first television program on Kyrgyz TV.

In the socio-political and cultural life of the country, a historic event — started his own Republican television broadcasting. At first, the TV station aired a total of 4 times a week, the daily duration of the program was one hour transfer broadcast in black and white and were in Kyrgyz and Russian languages. By 1979, the daily broadcast of the Kyrgyz television became available almost all the settlements in Kyrgyzstan.

Today transmission and reception of TV programs of Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek TV carried out using various structures of cosmic microwave and communication lines.
