November 27 members of the Russian Society of Appraisers (RSA) celebrate their professional holiday.
On this day in 1996, thanks to the efforts of the NGO, the Decree of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Russian Federation has approved a qualifying characteristic for the position of "Appraiser" — expert on the valuation of the property.
First request for professional actions appraisers in Russia was formulated in the first version of the Law on Privatization of State and Municipal Property, adopted in 1991.
As of 2007 in the number of Russian experts in business valuation does not exceed 20,000 people. Despite the fact that for several years the leading universities of Russia train personnel evaluators, but today there is a shortage of specialists in this field in the Russian market.
The main activities of appraisers involved an analysis of assets (assets — by the property being part of the income-producing property investor or the total business assets of the company) and the definition of money spent on their creation. Also, determine how much it costs to maintain assets at the moment, and how much profit they can bring to its owner in the future.
Among the qualities that should have a professional appraiser, employers usually called not only the possession of a diploma and a track record of quality, but no less value and business, personal qualities, the intellectual level of a person (the level of IQ) and resistance to stressful situations.
