October 31 in 1864, just 8 days before the U.S. presidential election, Nevada became the 36th state of the United States.

Since that day the residents of Nevada say the so-called birthday of Nevada.

By this time March 2 in 1861 seceded from the State of Nevada and Utah gained its own name, shortened from Sierra Nevada.

Economy Nevada-based mining has been closely linked to the more industrialized Union that politically justified the adoption of Nevada in the United States.

Nevada became part of the United States during the Civil War between the southern and northern states (American Civil War).

«State, born in fights» (The Battle Born State) — the official slogan of Nevada. On the flag State is an inscription "Born in fights» (Battle Born).

Nevada (born State of Nevada) — the fastest growing state in the U.S.. Between 1990 and 2000, Nevada's population increased by 66.3% (in whole dollars over the years to 13,1%).

Every year on October 31 residents of conduct known in America Nevadinsky parade, starting it from the state capital — Carson City.
