International Day of savings

October 27 in 1924 by representatives of savings banks from 29 countries met in Milan, Italy on his first international congress of Savings Banks (1st International Savings Bank Congress).

On the last day of the congress — 31 October — the idea, namely, the fact that "in the memory of the first meeting of the savings banking institutions of all countries" every year to celebrate this day as World Savings Day (savings) (World Savings Day). Italian professor Ravizza (Ravizza) declared this day the International Day of savings (International Saving Day).

However, dedicate this day, according to its creators, should not only be saving money, but also the economy in the broad sense of the Image: saving time, effort, careful attitude to things, and similar topics.

In 1989, the International Day of Economy formalized UN directive.

Today, many have forgotten about the existence of the World Day economy, in part because it coincides with Halloween.

International Day of savings annually celebrated on October 31 in the world, except in countries where this date is a holiday, because the idea of ??the Day was the fact that all the banks were open, and the public has the ability to translate savings on their bills. In Germany, for example, the World Day of saving notes on the last business day prior to October 31, since October 31 is a day in some areas (Reformation Day).
