International Black Sea Day

The one who was born of the sea,
He loved forever
White mast on the roads,
In the haze of Marine City,
Beacon Light above the waves,
Southern nights slumber,
Most blue in the world
Black Sea mine,
Black Sea mine!

Words M. Matusovsky, music Felzman

Many of us at least once in a lifetime swim in the Black Sea. And today, just a day when you can leisurely remember the warm waves of the Black Sea, singing a familiar tune from childhood.

International Black Sea Day (International Black Sea Day) commemorates the day in 1996 when six Black Sea countries — Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine — have signed a Strategic Action Plan for the Rehabilitation and Protection of the Black Sea.

This plan was developed after extensive research on the marine environment, which showed that its viability has deteriorated significantly in comparison with the previous three decades.
